The Gaza Trademark Office had been closed in 2023 due to well-known circumstances, but we have now been informed that the Gaza Trademark Office has partially resumed operations.
Specifically, a window for filing oppositions has been opened: the deadline for filing oppositions against trademark applications published in Official Gazette No. 70 on August 15, 2023, has been extended to August 11, 2026.
Given the short timeframe, we ask interested clients to contact us as soon as possible to discuss specific cases, bearing in mind that the office's operations are not fully automated—for instance, payments can only be made in cash (against a receipt).
Similarly, it is also once again possible to file new trademark applications, official government fees remain unchanged.
